Boards of Cannada are so beautiful - they totally alter my moods and shape how i feel. I just wanted to say this.
Some of you guys may fancy looking at the B.O.C pages on the following website:

http://albumart.org/

I originally used it for artwork but for some bizarre reason they now have videos and mp3 downloads available. Of the 126 available, i downloaded 9 that aren't on major releases and there are another 6 that i couldn't access.
Keep up the good work.
Could there be a connection between "Remmy Kid" and "Kid For Today"? In the explanations of the songs, Remmy Kid means remdial kid or a kid in a remdial program. While, Kid For Today could be connected with "Youth For Tomorrow" which is a program that builds remedial Christian homes for children. Is it possible that they couldve known somebody when they were younger who was admitted to these remdial programs?
Hi there, whoever it is reading me...This site is fantastic, seriously, never thought BoC made such an impact on the rest of people like me.
Thanks very very very much for the BoC attention...nothing else than thank the admin guys of this page.
cheers! From Chile...southamerica...it exists some minory enjoying good music here!
Hi guys,

While I'm sure this question has been touched on already, I am wondering about a misnamed version of Tears From A Compound Eye, the one in question being some sort of sad piano riff, repeated over and over with an almost muted-trumpet like distorted vocal morphing in and out over the top [the only lyrics I can make out are something to do with a shooting star?]... not really that BoCish apart from a single chord that follows on the bridge, as well as the end part of the song consisting of a definate BoC style chord line... any help with this/links to past guestbook/forum entries? I really wanna find out who the original artist was, or what the real name is.

Thanks, krpt
Hey Guys. Ithink i probably know where the title Geogaddi came from or maybe just the basic word that boc based on the name of the record geogaddi. In the incredible string band cd called "hangmanns beautiful daughter" the first track is called "koeeaddi there"-im not sure maybe it has already been said by someone else or you all know it.

its said here that in the track called "you could feel the sky" its a voice saying "god with horns"-i cant find it-can you tell me in which part it sounds?thank you.

hey!
yeah zero. i had the exact same issue. oscar see through the red eye is actually 'whitewater', and i believe that slow this bird down is actually 'carcan' from the old tunes. i also unknowingly had wildlife analysis in place of into the rainbow vein for a while, assuming they must've put the same song on both albums, just with different names! anyways, i just wanted to thank you fredd-e, for creating this site. it has been a great resource and has brought me much fascination in learning about all the theories of enigmatic cryptology that boc seems to have riddled their albums with. and also thanks to everyone else who contributed info. boc has inspired me to pursue electronic music myself! if anyone is also interested, feel free to contact me and i'll try and teach you what i know about it so far.
Oops, forgot to mention that I was referring to the album, "The Campfire Headphase"... someone in the posts a while ago was asking about this one.

Also-
take the website link to hear some somewhat related music I produced ;)
First of all I want to thank Fredd for this invaluable BoC page- THANKS!

I just downloaded massive amounts of BoC mp3s and noted that Tracks 9, "Oscar See Through Red Eye" and 14, "Slow This Bird Down" were commonly mislabeled tracks. Had to poke around to get the correct files, then also the Japanese bonus of "Macquarie Ridge". Make sure you check the track times (listed here in the handy discography, thanks again Fredd!) to be sure. I think the mislabeled tracks are actually "Whitewater" from Boc Maxima and another I haven't identified yet.

Also, if you are trying to get mp3s from the three Music 70 cassettes called "A Few Old Tunes", "A Few Old Tunes, Vol 1" and "Vol 2", prepare to be confused by the track numbers; some mp3 tracks are labeled "CD 1" and "CD 2"- maybe someone's put out a bootleg CD with a different track order?

cheers,
Zerø K

PS check out my art, I use maths to alter photography...
