I think you should add some information on 'Nova Scotia Robots'.
An area in Canada is called Nova Scotia. The Scots who first arrived there called it 'New Scotland' (Nova Scotia). Thus, It brings Boards Of Canada's name and country together.

What a great site this is! I just want to mention about the BoC- Rmx of broken drum (beck). I think in the end of the song the line "your setting sun" have to be "your sadning song". Just listen very carefully :-)
Keep up the good work Fredd-E |

Thanks. But keep in mind that the most work; 90% of the actual content of this site; has been done in the past by Davidac. He deserves the most credit. I took over his pages and redesigned them and provided new content and new sub sections.
Much respect to Davidac :)
And again thanks you like the continuation of these valuable pages! I really appreciate it.
Greetings |

Great, expansive site. For a band that mysterious, it's not that easy to collect info and pictures, but you did it.
BoC are my favourite artists, let's hope they'll pull out an album out of their ass soon...

The one which is listed at my site is the correct one; the one starting with "we've started up". Why do I say this? Cause you can see the tracklist in the picture which is included at my discogs section. Trust me on this one ;) |

Hi everyone,
There's one thing makes me feel confused.
I found that there are two versions of A Few Old Tunes Vol.2:
The first version starts with the song "we've start up".
The second verson starts with "solarium".
I wonder which one is real... |

@hills west: Sounds like Aquarius to me.
Something I noticed in Aquarius version 3 (from the peel session): the sequence of numbers is altered to include, at the very end, "23" repeated five times. Given their penchant for playing with numbers and hidden meanings, it seems likely this refers to the Law of Fives and its relation to the number 23 from the Illuminatus! Trilogy by Robert Anton Wilson.
Anyway, lovely site... |

Thanks! I'd like to see them play live too but I don't think that'll ever happen due to their secrecy & mystery.
Anyway glad you like the pages!
Rob camp >
Thanks! And thanks for listening my record, cool you like it even though it's totally different from BoC :) And yes a new release is planned; I just need to finish some tracks. Again it'll be released on USR records and it will contain 6 tracks, 6 quite different tracks. The record will be titled "Lost Signal".
Cheers! |

Trust me, you won't be the only one who eagerly awaits their new release.. Lots of people are and I can't blame them at all.
Bring on the new release. Thanks |

| I appreciate the response Fredd-E. This site is amazing! And terrifying! Intricate hidden meanings always scare and fascinate me. Maybe the Boards of Canada subliminal brainwash is complete! I seem to be the only person in NEW YORK eagerly anticipating their next release. |

hey glad you enjoy those tracks..thanks
the track is "julie and candy" and actually i have the source material that was taken from...in their song it doesnt actually go to the line but its just cool to know.
as another side note for those who may not know but it was obvious.. in the digi-pak release of geogaddi look in the cd sleeve to find the outlines of a nudist family...
also...
on soulseek or other downloadable shareware areas of the net are supposed releases of boc going around
old tunes vol 1 and 2 are real
there is a third set of songs labeled as their demo and all though none of the times match up to anything on discogs , im one hundred percent sure that these are their songs...the sounds , samples and melodies and feels are indiscriminately boc and there are 23 tracks...
hooper bay is not real but there are 2 songs from it that are
"seward leaf" and "circle"...when you get the right ones you will no as i have that it is them...
"oranges and flowers" 2004 promo is not real
"would you like to play" 2005 promo is not real
there is a track called "birthday tape"...whether or not the title is correct..this is one of their songs
"gyroscope z" leaves me wondering but i lean toward believing that it is theirs...
"treeline" and "trillions" are not real
neither is the release called purple trapezoids
okay i think im tired of typing for now....
seeya later

That's also plausible indeed. But I think both theories are correct.

Regarding INVERTING the Geogaddi cover...it turns turquiose thus creating a TURQUOISE HEXAGON SUN...NOT mimicing the color of the cover of MUSIC HAS A RIGHT TO CHILDREN!

Hi, what track contains that sample you're talking about? I can't recall it atm.
And I just listened your tracks, nice job. I especially like "glare" and "rebuilding memories".
Thanks for your compliments :-) |
