| I gotta question. How did you get the song lengths for the more obscure releases (Acid Memories, Hooper Bay, etc)? Do you actually own them? |

The following text is quoted from DavidAC:
"You mention 'Christ.' as being a former BoC member - well, that's true,
though he was just of a dozen or so people who've been in the line-up over
the years. I just wanted you to be aware that Christ. (and his label,
Benbecula), don't really like that being mentioned. He is trying hard to
establish himself in his own right, without trading on former associations.
I used to mention it on my site, but removed all references later on, out
of respect for that. Likewise BoC don't like discussing former members, so
it works both ways. You'll notice Benbecula don't mention BoC on their Christ. page"
That's why there is no mention of Christ. on my pages. |

| Having looked up my old school colleagues on Wikipedia, and hence followed the link here, I had a bit of a chuckle at some of the stuff I have read. If being raised in the twee, middle-class suburb of Balerno equates to being locked away in the Pentland hills then fair enough. Strangely, there is no mention of Balerno anywhere, i guess its just not quirky enough! Likewise, the fact that they were brothers. In general I would have to agree that their strategy of minimising media coverage is working, it keeps the rumour mills spinning out nonsense, which of course they never deny. It certainly has a lot of people of people on this site hooked. Clever marketing, boys! |

There are countless web sites, including this one, claiming that A is to B as B is to C is an allusion to the golden ratio. I don't see what about this title suggests the Golden ratio at all. It's true that if A, B and C are phi-1, 1 and phi respectively then A is to B as B is to C. But it's also true if A,B,C are 1,2,4 or 1,-1,1 or 1,10,100 or even 6,6,6. There's nothing about this that suggests the Golden ratio to me. Even if they use the Golden ratio in their composition there's still no reason to link it to this song title. I think this is just one of those memes that someone made up one day and everyone else copied. More likely it's just an allusion to children's textbooks where there are often problems phrased in these terms. Or it could even be a reference to basic music theory like the circle of fifths where the frequencies of successive notes also satisfy A:B :: B:C (though in this case something like A is to E as E is to B would be better).
Anyway, must play it backwards some time. Probably I'll hear a voice telling me how it's all about the Golden ratio... |

Nope, because I don't use fixed width/height on my pages (try scaling your browser window, everything scales along) so I can't use an image which has a fixed width/height. And second of all it won't be as easy on the eyes anymore as it is now; it would just be too much on the screen. |

Well you've got a good point and as such I've removed all but the Google search form ofcourse. But to be honest, I just wanted to try Adsense and those contextual ads could have linked to some other interesting stuff and besides it's not that I forced anyone to look at the ads; you needed to click on the link to make the ads block visible. |

i like coming here to read..its like a really obscure messageboard yknow? all the new comments... i wonder if the brothers themselves stop here to see whats good now and then...
yknow just for shits and giggles im in a death metal hardcore band and we've recently recieved reviews back on a cd released on nov.15.. i didnt want to read them as i agree with boc on not reading reviews as it will change your thoughts on what youre doing...but i accidentally read one that was part of an email sent by our label guy and i was so annoyed..the review was good but there were things in it that made me question whether or not they actually liked it.... i dont like that feeling...when i first started doing music i did it without thinking of anyone hearing it..but now with exposure for hills west and biolich its hard not to think of peoples reactions and trying to throw things into it that would appeal to them.... its irreversible at this point..so yah i dont wanna read reviews... okay ive chewed your ears off enough...bye xoxo |

| I don't know what happened to the Twoism board but as soon as I've got some news I'll post it here. It might be a good idea to host the Twoism board on my server, I'm going to ask the owner about this. His host seems to be having a lot of issues, not only now but also some other issues in the past. I'll keep you all updated. |
